Jon Carr
Jon Carr is Cinematographer based in New York City. Born in Philadelphia, Jon had a early start in the film business when he started working as a camera operator for comcast local broadcasting in high school. After that, Jon finished his film school training in New York. In 2008, the dawn of RED, Jon embraced change from shooting film to digital cinema. And continues to shoot on RED and also some ALEXA stuff too.
Jon has shot all over the country and the world. It doesn't matter the location, the feel, the content. If it's a good script and good treatment, Jon will shoot it.
In 2009 Jon started a small rental house (Visual Cinema) with nothing more then a 7D and some nikons, within 4 years Jon Carr established one of the top privately owned RED EPIC DRAGON packages for rent in New York and built up a fully loaded 1 ton Grip and Electric truck package. Making his gear, mobile and affordable to his fellow independent film makers and one of the top one stop shops for productions.
